Rep. Spratt holds 'telephone town hall’ on health reform
WASHINGTON - U.S. Rep. John Spratt (D-SC) held a telephone town hall on health care reform for the citizens of Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, and Marlboro Counties on Tuesday, Dec. 15.
The telephone town hall, which began at 7 p.m., lasted approximately one hour. Constituents had the opportunity to ask questions, make comments, or talk about their experience with the health care system.
“I’ve held health care town halls in Rock Hill and Sumter, and now I wanted to hear from people in the Pee Dee,” said Spratt.
Citizens of Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, and Marlboro counties who wished to participate in the telephone Town Hall were advised to call Spratt’s office in Darlington or in Washington, D.C. on Dec. 14 and leave their phone number. The Senate is debating a health care reform bill. The health care reform bill has passed the House, and will go to conference with the Senate to work out differences when the Senate has passed its bill.
