MORVEN, N.C. – Cleother Wesley Bryant, formerly of Charlotte, died Dec. 11, 2009, at Anson Community Hospital in Wadesboro.

Funeral services were held Dec. 19 at noon at Harris Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Morven with the Rev. Bernice Bennett officiating and the Rev. Phillip Cason eulogizing. burial followed at Pleasant Grove A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery in Cheraw, S.C.

He was the son of the late Albert and Virginia Bryant.

Bryant was preceded in death by his sister, Lottie Bryant Crallie; and brother, Talmadge Bryant.

He is survived by two sons, Mitchell A. Bryant and Adrian C. Bryant of Charlotte; daughter, Andrea Peay of Mooresville; one grandson; six sisters, Alberta Bennett, Olivia Johnson, Jualillian Bryant and Bernice Brown, all of Charlotte, Wilhelmenia Cason of Morven and Katherine James of Norfolk, Va.
