CHERAW – The recently formed Chesterfield County for Jesus Bible School located inside the Maranatha Family Center at 66 Praise Lane, has had a phenomenal beginning since its first session last month.
The Bible School ministry is a faith-based mission and is free to all who wish to attend.
“In the first week, we had 37 in attendance and the second week, we had 75 people. All were from three various counties, which represent over eight different churches. We encourage anyone who wants to be a part of this mission for Christ to join us,” said the church’s pastor, Allen Usher.
“The two courses that we provide to the students include an in-depth study of the Holy Spirit, soul and body that emphasize on understanding how to grow spiritually in Christ. It also highlights on how to raise children to be spiritually and emotionally bonded in Christ,” said Usher.
The second class is a D.V.D. study with David Barton, who teaches and focuses on the Christian heritage of our country.
“This course is designed to help students understand God’s plan for our nation from the viewpoint of the founding fathers, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America,” Usher added. “If we can help parents to be what God intends for them to be as Christians, then they in turn can teach their children to be what God intends for their lives, which brings forth new hope for all,” stressed Usher.
He said that it is not too late to sign up for the ongoing Bible School. The Bible School is open every Tuesday evening from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Maranatha Family Center.
