CHERAW – Mrs. Thelma June Bohon McDaniel, 82, died Jan. 31, 2010.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Feb. 3, at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Dave Bradshaw and Pastor Gary Ledbetter officiating. Burial followed in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.

A Roanoke County, Virginia native, Mrs. McDaniel was born on June 8, 1927, the daughter of the late A. Everette and Mary B. Ratliff Bohon. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. On July 26, 1945, she married J. Owen McDaniel.

Surviving is her husband of 64 years, Jonathan Owen McDaniel of the home; a daughter, Patricia McDaniel Tobin Hammer and her husband, Jerry of Greensboro, N.C.; a son, Micheal Owen McDaniel and his wife, Patricia of Forest City, N.C.; a brother, William Everette Bahon and his wife, Polly of Freeport, TX; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family received friends Feb. 2, 6-8 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Cheraw.
