CHERAW – Mrs. Montie Terry Morris, 95, died March 18, 2010.

Funeral services were at 4 p.m. March 21, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, McFarlan, N.C. with Rev. Larry King and Rev. Doug Anderson officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

The family greeted friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Montie was born Dec. 26, 1914 a daughter of the late Benjamin J. and Susan Sanford Terry. She was retired from B.C. Moore’s with 23 years of service and was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howze C. Morris, her daughter, Evie Morris and her granddaughter, Susan Morris.

Surviving are her children, H.C. (Carolyn) Morris, Jr. and James ìTedî (Margaret) Morris both of Cheraw; her daughter, Elva Morris Britt of Meridian, MS; her grandchildren, Robert Britt, Kelly Sikes, Andrew Morris and Joni Huff; her great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Parker, Kieran, Jonathan, Wesley and Erica; her sister, Lena Mae Odom of Bennettsville and also Brenda Cox, Harold Therrell and Max Terry.

Leavitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
