Northeastern Technical College, in partnership with the Marlboro County Adult Education Centers and the Community Development Corporation of Marlboro County will provide free career readiness classes May 3 through June 3 from 9 a.m. to 1p.m. Classes will be held on the campus of NETC Bennettsville and the Marlboro County Adult Education Center.
The classes are provided through the Rural Economic Workforce Alliance for Resource Development (REWARD) Program and are geared toward individuals who anticipate becoming employed or for those who would like to explore how local educational opportunities can enhance their future career goals and dreams.
Participants will experience activities and lectures designed to enhance their reading and writing, interviewing, resume writing, professional communication and team building skills. There will also be opportunities for work skills assessment (Work Keys) and career exploration.
Applications may be obtained at the South Carolina Employment Security Commission, Marlboro County Adult Education or the NETC Bennettsville location at 131 South Marlboro Street.
Completion of this program carries no employment guarantee, but participates will enhance their job seeking skills, qualifications and knowledge of educational opportunities at Northeastern Technical College.
