CHERAW - There will be no uniforms, bellowing drill sergeants, pushups in puddles, or obstacle courses. Move over military. This is “business” boot camp.
The Greater Cheraw Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Northeastern Technical College, is conducting a small business boot camp during the week of May 10-14. The five-day boot camp will be held at NETC, located on Hwy. 9 from 6 – 9 p.m. The fee for the boot camp is $50 with a 10 percent early bird discount for registrations received before April 23. Seating may be limited but those who are interested in attending are urged to enroll early.
Listed below is the agenda for the five-day sessions of “Business Boot Camp”.
Day one session, participants will learn basics of how to launch a business and build a team for success.
Day two of business boot camp will be dedicated to the financial side of a business—what do the numbers really mean?
Day three will address marketing and how to get recognized.
Day four is about planning. Most new businesses fail because they don’t have a sound business plan.
Finally, day-five will consist of successful small business leaders/owners who will share their success stories and accomplishments. They will offer several suggestions and tips to aspiring owners/leaders who also want to be successful.
