CHERAW – In honor of all veterans, Maranatha Family Center, located at 66 Praise Lane, is sponsoring a “One Nation Under God Veteran’s Banquet” event on May 22, from 5 - 7 p.m.

All active, inactive and retired veterans, male and female and their wives or husbands, are invited to attend this first-time event.

“It is time for our nation to get back to honoring those who risked it all and to remember those who gave it all to make America great. We seem to honor everyone from athletes to entertainers, and call them heroes, while we ignore so many times, the “true heroes,” our veterans.

According to Usher, the evening will kick off with a great meal provided by the church. Patriotic music performed by Christian music artist, Ken Rivers and Brad Jenkins of the Christian group, Bound by Him, will fill the air as several guest speakers, local and abroad, will share their military experiences.

The Cheraw High School Color Guard will also be present.

“We are anticipating a good crowd and are looking forward to also planning a second event for next year,” said Usher.

For those who are planning to attend the Banquet, call Pastor Allen Usher at 843-921-8123.
