Charleston artist Joyce Hall talks to the attendees at an oil painting workshop held in Cheraw.
Hall is an international award winning oil painter who has been exhibited in galleries and museums nationally.
The focus of the workshop to be held is Cheraw will be basic techniques required when painting still lifes. The Still life workshop will include composition, five step lay in, drawing with a brush as well as special demonstrations on drapery, glass, texture and reflective surfaces, There will also be a review of color, light and shadow and brush techniques. The workshop will be held at the Cheraw Community Center from 9 am until 5:00pm. Cost for the three day workshop is $190. A supply list will be provided and forwarded to participants.
