CHERAW – Mrs. Audrey Faye Hancock Gainey, 67, died Sept. 24, 2010.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sept. 26, at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial followed in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Sept. 25, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gainey was born May 13, 1943, a daughter of the late Henry Franklin and Mollie Tucker Hancock. She was a former seamstress.

Audrey was preceded in death by eleven sisters, including Mary Teal, and by four brothers, including Sam Hancock.

Surviving is her husband, Eddie B. Gainey of the home; two sons, Franklin Gainey, Sr. of Hartsville, and James (Karen) Gainey of Hartsville, a daughter, Linda (Butch Smith) Johnson of Hartsville; two stepsons, Maxie (Lisa) Gainey of Patrick, and David (Kellie) Gainey of Cheraw; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
