River Avery Sanders, 10 day old infant daughter of Clay Alan and Whitney Sanders, formerly of Cheraw, died on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, in Macon, Ga.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20, at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery located in Cheraw.
She was born Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, in Macon, Ga., the daughter of Clay Alan and Whitney Grooms Sanders. River was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Avery and Mary Huggins, Mildred Floyd, and Billy Sims.
River is survived by her parents Clay Alan and Whitney Sanders of the home, paternal grandparents; Johnny Freeman Sanders of Florence, and Annette Floyd of Hickory, N.C., maternal grandparents; Cecil and Kathy Sims Grooms of Cheraw, great grandparents; L.P. and Gladys Grooms of Patrick, and Ruby J. Sims of Ruby, also a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home of Chesterfield, is serving the family.
