Addie Duncan Evans passed away Friday, June 15, 2012, at Carolinas Hospital System in Florence.

A funeral service was held Monday, June 18, at 2 p.m. at Mount Mary Missionary Baptist Church in Chesterfield with the Reverend James Rand, Pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Evans was born to the late Leroy and Josie Smith Duncan in Anson County, N.C. She was married to the late James T. Evans and to this union, seven children were born. Addie attended the Chesterfield County public school system and was a member of Mount Mary Missionary Baptist Church in Chesterfield.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories: four sons, Tyronnie Duncan, Johnny Duncan, Jerry Evans (Lorraine) and James E. Evans all of Chesterfield; two daughters, Shirley Isaac of Cheraw and Mary Duncan of Chesterfield; two special grandchildren she raised, Tyrone Duncan of Chesterfield and LaNiesha Evans of Memphis, Tenn.; seventeen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; four brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Addie was also preceded in death by: a son, Timothy L. Evans, a grandson, Eric Duncan; four brothers and a sister.
