David Warren Watson, 35, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept.1, at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow in the Evans-Spencer-Robeson Cemetery, Chesterfield.
Visitation will be from 1 - 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 1, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Watson was born March 15, 1977, in Rockingham, NC a son of Sandra “Sandy” Hinson Watson and the late Walter Mitchell “Mickey” Watson, Sr. He was a 1994 graduate of Central High School, received an Associate of Arts Degree from Chesterfield Marlboro Technical College in 1997, and also attended Coker College. David graduated with the highest honors in his class from the South Carolina Police Academy in 1999 and a graduate of the DEA Basic Narcotic Investigation School. He was a Law Enforcement Detective, and had a passion for law enforcement for the past 14 years. Mr. Watson was a member of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Association. David was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed deer hunting and playing golf. He was also a Carolina Panther Fan. David enjoyed people and was very people oriented.
He is survived by a wife, Mary Florence Campbell Watson, his mother, Sandra “Sandy” Hinson Watson of Chesterfield.
Two brothers, Walter Mitchell Watson Jr., of Chesterfield and Daniel Scott (Misty) Watson of Summerville, grandmother, Mary “Tippy” Evans (Ed) Campbell of Chesterfield, three nieces, Taylor Nicole Watson, Kaitlin Michele Watson, and Bella-Claire Watson
