With two-time winner Hans Vanaken (2018 and 2019) and Charles de Kitleri, only two players from national champion Club Brugge are among the eleven nominees for this year’s Pro Footballer of the Year Cup. Jenkinar Paul Onwacho, last season’s winner and current Golden Boot winner, also did not make the final eleven.
The Federation, on the other hand, is the provider of candidates. Captain Teddy Thoma, midfielder Kasper Nielsen and strikers Dante Vanzer and Deniz Undev are all included in the extensive squad.
Other nominees are Antwerp goalkeeper Jan Botiz, Ebony Shaw Tariq Tisodale (AA Gent), Jenkinar Junia Eto’o, OHL captain Xavier Mercier and Troiner Christian Prouls.
In accordance with annual tradition, the Pro League will end the football season on Monday with the presentation of the Pro League Awards, in which last year’s stars are honored on Belgian stadiums in various categories.
Players, coaches and managers of each club can vote for different prizes. You can still vote for the best goal on the site.
