1B Pro League
Westerlo advanced into 1B after an exciting match against Lierse. The guests created tension in the final with the goal of Al Wasl, but they could no longer avoid defeat.
Objectives:
28′ Yagan 0-1
49′ Dirks 1-1 (penalty kick)
53′ Weissen 2-1
63′ Bernat 3-1
73′ Scheuermanns 3-2
After a lackluster draw against RWDM, Westerlo had something to make up for against Lierse. But it wasn’t an easy task: Westerlo was late at the start of the match, after an uproar from Yagan.
But Rove did not panic: immediately after the break they put things in order. Dirks equalized from the penalty spot, and Weissen scored again a few minutes later.
At that hour, Slovakian Bernat Westerlo gave more room to breathe: 3-1. The home team also needed it, as Schuermans made it exciting with the aim of linking up.
But Westerlo did not give up his second win of the season. He jumps to the top with a score of 7 out of 9 and could be joined by Deinze tomorrow. For Lierse, this was the first loss of the season.
