Donald Trump filed a complaint Thursday against Hillary Clinton and several Democratic Party leaders. The former US president’s complaint comes after they said they falsely accused him of colluding with Russia ahead of the 2016 election.
In the run-up to the 2016 presidential election, Hillary Clinton and her cohorts hatched an unimaginable plan — a horrific plan that is an affront to democracy in this country, the Florida complaint said.
According to the complaint, there was “malicious collusion to create a false narrative that Trump colluded with a hostile foreign country.” Moreover, according to the complaint, evidence was tampered with and law enforcement officers were defrauded.
In addition to Clinton, John Podesta, her former campaign manager, and James Comey, a former director of the FBI, have been targeted.
Trump is seeking damages of at least $72 million.
In a 2019 interview, Clinton said, “The Russians are still tied to our electoral system.”
