The World Cup of Darts resumed on Wednesday after a short Christmas break and that break clearly had no impact on Luke Littler's top. The 16-year-old World Cup star reached the 1/8 World Cup Finals after another demonstration, this time against Matt Campbell.
In his third match of this tournament, Luke Littler faced experienced Canadian Matt Campbell. He proved no match for the young Englishman, who posted an average of 97.19 per 3 darts in their 4-1 win.
Campbell may also have suffered from jet lag, because the Canadian spent Christmas with his family. Campbell was nowhere to be seen, especially at the beginning of the match: Littler won the first two sets in no time, each time 3-0.
The young English player also excelled in the third set, turning a 2-0 deficit into 3-2. After a tough fourth set, in which Littler missed a dart and Campbell put himself on the scoreboard, the 16-year-old recovered in the fifth set.
Littler Ally shook Pally with a 164 finish and then calmly finished it off. In the 1/8 finals, Littler will face the winner of the match between Dutchman Raymond van Barneveld and Welshman Jim Williams.
