They want to bring reinforcements to RSC Anderlecht and AA Gent in January. Both teams want more options at certain positions. The two top Belgian clubs have also been linked with the same player. At the moment, this is not yet a concrete option.
AA Gent have already signed a new goalkeeper from STVV on a free with Daniel Schmidt. However, Heine Vanhaysbrouck's forces also remained linked to Haakon Valdemarsson of Esbjerg. Not an option anymore, but maybe in the summer. Will Davey Ruff stay?
Anderlecht have also been mentioned for the 22-year-old Icelandic goalkeeper. Kasper Schmeichel was linked to Sheffield United, but the Dane remained in Brussels. However, Anderlecht also have to look to the future and are logically interested in a younger goalkeeper. Maxime Dube's future is also unclear.
For DeMarson, there is no concrete path
At the moment, DeMarson is not a priority for the two clubs. Elfsborg sporting director Stefan Andersson spoke clearly in the local media about the rumors circulating about his team's goalkeeper.
He admitted: “I think we will hear such rumors until the end of January. We are not currently negotiating with any club regarding Haakon. Is there foreign interest? Yes.”
