Paintsil in Los Angeles
Josef Paintsil flew to the United States on Thursday to complete his move to LA Galaxy. The Ghanaian, who trained with Genk on Wednesday, will sign for four years. Galaxy pays about 8.5 million euros for the winger. He scored 9 goals for Racing Genk this season.
Genk could not rely on Paintsil anyway due to the suspension against RWDM. The flow in attack is weak. Doubts still surround Yera Sor's participation, while Aliu Vadera will be absent until the end of the regular season.
Young winger Adedeji-Sternberg will not play Jong Genk tonight (against Lierse Kempenzonen) so he can fully focus on the first team. Kos Karitsas will play a maximum of one inning and will also be a starting part on Saturday. (BFA)
