Max Verstappen had a very strong Grand Prix in Bahrain last weekend. Verstappen won the race easily which led to many compliments. Verstappen was not entirely satisfied with his new RB20, as he stated that the pace during the single lap was quite disappointing.
Verstappen was considered a major title favorite pre-season. He showed at the Sakhir Circuit that he is at his best. First he fended off an attack from Charles Leclerc and then disappeared over the horizon. He never relinquished the lead and also drove the fastest lap of the race. The new RB20 seems to be performing as expected and the competition is very concerned.
Verstappen is not completely satisfied with his new RB20. He gives his Red Bull Racing team some homework, as he explained in the press conference for the top three: “For some reason, the car is not great over one lap. But fortunately, the car is very good at racing on most tracks. “Of course you are mainly focused on the race , but for some reason other teams can push a little more during one lap. So we will look at that in the next races.”
