Doubts about Joe Biden, despite his public insistence that “nobody’s going to throw him out” of the polls

A similar message was heard yesterday at a key meeting with all White House staff. As more and more questions arise within their own ranks about Biden’s candidacy, chief of staff Jeff Giants has gathered to level the playing field and call for calm.

Biden went from one meeting to another yesterday to address growing concerns. He previously spoke to Democratic leaders in the House and Senate. Later, the President also met about 20 Democratic governors.

After the meeting, three governors — Minnesota’s Tim Walls, Maryland’s Wes Moore and New York’s Kathy Hochul — addressed reporters at the White House and insisted they were behind the president.

Governor Moore said it was an “honest” and “real” conversation. “If you like somebody, you’re honest with that person. We’ve been honest with the feedback (after the debate, version) that we’ve had,” Moore said. As long as the president remains committed and does everything he can, “we will continue to support him,” he said.

“Participate to win” was said many times. “All the governors agree with that. President Biden agrees with that. He’s supported us through the Covid pandemic, through the recovery and through everything that’s happened,” Walls also responded. “The governors support him. We are working together: the path to victory in November is the first priority, including for the president.”
