After years of delays with many tiresome promises and updates, James Cameron’s Avatar sequel is finally here thirteen years later. Things go a little smoother with the next three series.
Because now it seems we’re one step closer to a second return to the world of Pandora. Actor Joel David Moore (46) shared a new update in a recent post on his Instagram.
A long, emotional and adventurous journey
He posted photos of the on-location production from New Zealand while recalling the multi-billion dollar franchise. Check out the photos below and the translated caption reads:
“Going to Wellington New Zealand is always so nostalgic, I’ve been building this franchise for 17 years and working hard seeing familiar faces and friends. But my #Avatar family always has the same mission and I can’t wait to see what you guys have next)”
In theaters from December 2025
Moore played Norm Spellman in both Avatar and Avatar: The Way of Water. The shooting of Avatar 3 has now wrapped up and the shooting of Avatar 4 has recently resumed after the Hollywood hit.

“Introvert. Communicator. Tv fanatic. Typical coffee advocate. Proud music maven. Infuriatingly humble student.”
