Former Flyer Josh Cunningham has been added to TBT’s Red Score list

Dayton – The Dayton University alumni group, Red Scare, announced Monday that it has added former Dayton Flyer pioneer Josh Cunningham to its list for this summer’s TBT.

He joins former college friends Daryl Davis, Trey Landers, Ryan Michaels and Scotty Smith. Former Sanford pilots and Joe Thomason will also be on this year’s shortlist.

Cunningham graduated from Dayton University in 2019. He broke his ankle while in second year and was twice a NABC All-District Exam. He averaged 15 points and eight rebounds in his new year, finishing fifth in the country in field goal percentage (0.646, 186-288).

As a senior, Cunningham averaged 13 game points and six boards, now ending his flyer career with the third-best field rate in school history (.639, 367-574). He scored 22 straight field goals in three extended games when he was young and kept the school for consecutive field goals.

Since completing his college career, Cunningham has professionally played abroad in the Netherlands, New Zealand and Bosnia.
