A year after his move to Chelsea, Lukaku returned to The club where he lost his heart† Returning to the place where he also became king. But if it counts on a bit of a hard core, the 29-year-old Red Devil will have to prove himself in earnest before he enjoys last year’s standing again. In a statement on Instagram, De Curva Nord – a group of ultras with links to the far-right – offered a striking appeal. That fans shouldn’t drool over immediately after “Big Rom”. Because “betrayal” has not yet been forgotten.
“Since the return of Lukaku is very likely, some points need to be clarified,” states De Curva Nord’s Instagram page. The post got more than 10,000 likes in just a few hours.
“Curva Nord supports Inter and will not object to his arrival (despite his actions last summer). However, no one is allowed to welcome him with scarves or banners belonging to our Curva group. Whatever will be done for him in the future, he will have to earn on the field with humility and sweat. Here he was treated like a king, and he is now a player like many others. Let’s be clear: we would never encourage him. But let’s not fall into the opposite trap of dropping saliva after him right away. (…) We learned of Lukaku’s betrayal (his move to Chelsea last summer, editor And we were so upset. We can forgive these things over time, but not forget them.”
