Mercedes has secretly sold its Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe for 132 million euros. The German luxury brand will never sell the legendary “Silver Arrow”, which has been booked as priceless.

Mercedes declined to comment on the sale. The proceeds from the auction would have gone to a good cause via the German Mercedes. The auction will be private because all previous bids have been rejected, even with blank checks.

The new owner, who received the highest bid from a group of ten potential customers that Mercedes allegedly contacted, remains unknown according to the Motorious trade magazine. The vehicle should also not be shown. That was the agreement with Mercedes.

The legendary model, also known as the “Silver Arrow”, should become the most expensive car ever auctioned. Previously, a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO was sold for 70 million euros.

Team Uhlenhaut competed in Le Mans in 1955 and 1956. With a top speed of 290 kilometers per hour, Uhlenhaut broke the speed record of street models in the 1950s, according to the Louwman Museum.

Two 300 SLR Uhlenhaut were built with a straight eight and 302 horsepower. Another copy is in the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart.
