After turbulent weeks, Philippe Clement appears to be back in the calmer waters of Monaco. With 12 out of 15 in the competition, Monaco is currently in fourth place and is once again fully involved in the European venues.
Moncao continued their 2-3 win on Friday at Stade Rennes, the Champions League rival. Thus, Monaco achieves 12 out of 15 with victories over the top three places in the standings (Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille and Rennes).
“The most important thing now is to remain calm, ambitious and unsatisfied, because we still have six finals,” Clement said after the match.

Captain Ben Yedder to the rescue
The start in Monaco was not as smooth for Philippe Clement as he would have liked, but that has been different in recent weeks.
Thanks in part to Captain Wissam Ben Yedder. The 31-year-old has scored four goals in his last five matches, including two against Paris Saint-Germain.

Space to breathe but no time for idleness
With good results, Clement creates breathing space for himself. At the beginning of March, he was still at the grassroots level after a disappointing 5 out of 12 against teams such as Bordeaux and FC Lorient who were involved in the relegation battle.
We will have to confirm the good performance of the last few weeks in order to finish as high as possible
The club’s ambition lies in Europe and for that Clement knows what it takes. “We will have to confirm the good performance of the last few weeks in order to finish as high as possible,” says the former Club Brugge coach.
With a provisional fourth place after 32 matches, Monaco is on track to qualify for European football.
