Rumor: Nvidia launches RTX 3060 8GB and RTX 3060 Ti with GDDR6X at the end of October – Computer – News

Nvidia may release two new GeForce RTX 30 video cards at the end of October. That’s what VideoCardz sources say. The company will release new variants of the GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 3060 Ti.

According to VideoCardz The new GeForce RTX 3060 features 8GB of GDDR6 memory, whereas the current RTX 3060 comes with 12GB. So the new 8GB variant is likely to be cheaper than its predecessor. The new GeForce RTX 3060 Ti in turn gets faster GDDR6X memory, although the quantity remains unchanged at 8GB. Assuming the RTX 3060 Ti gets 19Gb/s memory modules, the bandwidth will increase from 448Gb/s to 608Gb/s.

The rumors match the messages From Twitter user Megasizegpu, who previously predicted the arrival of these video cards. This leaker also talked about a new RTX 3070 Ti with a faster GA102 GPU, but VideoCardz was unable to get confirmation from sources about that.

It is not known what other specifications of the video cards will be, but they will most likely remain unchanged compared to the current RTX 3060 and RTX 3060 Ti. Board partners anticipate that the arrival of these cards will be an attempt by Nvidia to offer more video cards in the mid-range segment, where competition is increasing.

Messages about the new RTX 30 video cards come shortly after the announcement GeForce Beyond . Live StreamingNvidia will likely announce its first RTX 40 GPUs next week. This is supposed to initially only concern high-end models, such as the RTX 4090. VideoCardz wrote that the new RTX 3060 and RTX 3060 Ti will only be released at the end of October after the first RTX 40 video cards appeared.
