There are two of the best pizzerias in the world in Brussels: La Pizza è Bella and La Piola Pizza. This is evident from the 50 Top Pizza World list.
For the first time, 50 Top Pizza World presented the ranking of the 100 best pizza restaurants in the world. Previously, the ranking was prepared for each country or continent.
Francesco Martucci’s I Masanielli in Caserta, Italy, and Una’s Pizza Napoletana Anthony Manggieri in New York, shared the first place as the world’s best pizzeria. And the third place went to Peppe Pizzeria, designed by Giuseppe Cotraro in Paris.
Two pizzerias in Brussels are also on the list. La Piola’s pizza in Saint-Josse-ten-Node ranked 35th. According to the guide, the pizzeria is “perfect for those who like flawlessly soft, smooth pizza, with plenty of bubbles on the crust. All the toppings come from Italy and follow seasonality.” and inspiration from master pizza baker Francesco Martini who works with Vito Calabrese.” Also, according to the guide, the wine list is a strong point, with a growing selection of organic wines.
At number 61 we find La Pizza è Bella, with three branches in Brussels. The guide says: “The pizza is light, soft, and with just the right amount of crunch.” “Experimentation and enjoyment are the main features of the owner Stefano Napoli here.
