motorsportsTom Boonen’s victory in the second race of the Porsche Carrera Benelux Cup. The previous rider was top in the Pro-Am class, and Koen Wauters missed the podium this time around.
Today completed the second race of the Porsche Carrera Benelux Cup at Spa. Tom Boonen and Koen Wauters will compete in the Pro-Am class. All participants drive exactly the same cars. So it comes down to the pilot’s handling skills. The race lasts half an hour.
Boonen started from 12th, and Wauters two places later. The latter had a good start, rose a position and was immediately on Boonen’s heels. But this time it didn’t really come to a duel between the Belgians. Boonen finally advanced to 11th, but finished 8th overall due to a few time penalties. With that, it was the best in the Pro-Am class.
Waters finished thirteenth, and finished fourth in the Pro-Am class. Harry King also took the win in the Pro class, just like yesterday.
With the two races at Spa, the first round of the Porsche Carrera was over. Later, tours will follow in Zolder (10-12 June), Zandvoort (24-26 June), Assen (5-7 August), Barcelona (26-28 August) and Hockenheim (7-9 October).
