Update

Friday was a bad day for SD Worx. The Dutch formation beat classification riders Demi Vollering and Niamh Fisher-Black in the fourth stage of the Tour of Scandinavia. Both managed to reach the final (well behind), but neither did on Saturday. The New Zealander appears to have fractured his collar bone.

“Cylinder fracture for Niamh Fisher-Black,” writes SD Worx on social media. “She will not start today’s leg of the Scandinavia tour. The 22-year-old New Zealand rider suffered a crash on stage four that left him with a small fracture to the end of his collarbone. Fisher-Black will now focus on her rehabilitation.

Fisher-Black, number five in the most recent Giro ton, crossed the line four minutes and 57 seconds behind stage winner Alexandra Manley. His teammate Demi Vollering followed three seconds later. The latter looks set to embark on the fifth leg of the Scandinavia tour. However, in the general classification, the Dutch are already five and a half minutes behind Marianne Vos, who wore the yellow jersey.

Update (11:05 am)

Demi Vollering will no longer start the fifth stage of the Tour of Scandinavia. The Dutch do not break anything, but leave the game as a precaution. Only three riders remain in SD Worx as Anna Shackley also drops out. Yesterday the British also fell to the ground. The SD Worx team currently consists of Blanka Vas, Sina Frei and Elena Cecchini.
