Another red devil in Milan. Divock Origi (27 years old) has officially signed a four-year contract with AC Milan today. The striker comes from Liverpool on a free transfer.
A new chapter in Divock Origi’s career. After eight years at Liverpool – interrupted by two loan spells – the striker is continuing his career at Milan.
No doubt he hopes to be as prominent in the history books as he is with the Reds. Remember his semi-final goal against Barcelona – declared the most important goal in the club’s history.
But Origi is now yearning for more minutes of playing at Milan. Despite his religious stature, he was not the undisputed owner of Liverpool. That must change in Italy. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been out for a long time with a knee injury and Olivier Giroud is nearing his due date.
In Milan, Origi will meet fellow countryman Alexis Sailemaker. Who knows, Charles de Kettleri will also follow – who is categorically linked to the Rossoneri in the Italian media.
Origi also gave a first interview on the club’s official media. “Physically, mentally and spiritually I have prepared myself to perform at the highest level. I hope to be able to provide many goals and assistance.”
You can feel the history here.
“I watched videos of Marco van Basten on Youtube. He had an amazing impact here. Then there were Shevchenko, Inzaghi, WWE…here.”
