Yuji Naka, director of Balan Wonderworld, filed a lawsuit against Square Enix after leaving

Naka announced this on Twitter. In a long post on Twitter telling us what happened. Naka was unable to comment on this earlier due to the ongoing case which is now over. Although Naka does not want to reveal the outcome of the lawsuit, he details why he was removed from the project.

Balan Wonderworld appeared in 2021 and was very poorly received. The PS5 version scores 51/100 on Metacritic while the Switch version averages just 36/100. Yuji Naka has now started his own studio where he is working on a game for smartphones.
