A 60-year-old Cheraw man died Saturday when he turned his moped in front of an oncoming box truck on U.S. 1, according to state troopers.The crash happened while a 1995 International box truck driven by 61-year-old Clide Watson was passing the 2009 VIP moped in a passing zone 4 miles south of the Cheraw town limits, said Lance Cpl.
