Belgium play in Washington against the United States, Russia and Puerto Rico for World Cup tickets

The Belgian Cats face Olympic champions the United States, Russia and Puerto Rico in Washington, DC from February 10-13, 2022 to advance to the Women’s World Cup in Australia (September 22 – October 1, 2022). It became clear on Tuesday after the draw in Geneva, Switzerland.

Belgium was in the second pot, so the cats at least avoided China, Japan and Serbia. The United States exited the first trophy. Pat 3 gave Russia and ended up in the group of Puerto Rico Belgium, from the pot with the lowest ranked countries.

With the exception of hosts Australia and Olympic champions the US, they have won the first three World Cup tickets in each competition. Those two countries have already qualified. In the group of cats, the two best countries next to the United States go to the World Cup.

The Belgian women participated in the 2018 World Cup Basketball for the first time in Tenerife. They became the manifestation of the competition and eventually finished fourth.
