The Playstation 5 is the fastest selling console of all time in America

The Playstation 5 is the fastest selling home console in American history. The few months the console has come out, it manages to fly over the counter like a hot bun. The PS5 has sold more than 4.5 million units since its launch in late 2020.

Although demand for Playstation 5 is still much greater than supply, the console continues to sell very well. The stock of Sony’s latest console was destroyed by the robots who eventually resold the console at a higher price. In the Netherlands too The PS5 is very hard to come by. This doesn’t come out of nowhere, the console has sold 4.5 million times in five months.

PS5 in America

According to analysts, the PS5 is the fastest-selling console in the country’s history. Although the console in the US faces a lot of competition from the Nintendo Switch, the PS5 is directly above it. At the start of March, the Switch appeared to be a bestseller in America, but the PS5 managed to grab that title before the end of the month. The Switch is, however, the best-selling console in the first quarter in terms of unique units, and the PS5 made the most money out of any console in that time period.

According to Sony, it is on its way to ship nearly 18 million consoles by the end of the next fiscal year (March 22, 2022). The Japanese company also indicates that it is working hard to make more consoles available.
