Samsung will integrate some “Galaxy AI” features into its Bixby voice assistant. Thanks to the integration, it becomes possible to activate some AI functions via voice commands. The integration is deployed worldwide and is available in multiple languages. However, Dutch is not yet included.
Bixby supports five “Galaxy AI” features: Call Assist, Browse Assist, Transcribe Assist, Notes Assist, and Interpreter. Through Call Assist, users can make a call with a contact, through Browse Assist, users can automatically translate web pages, through Transcription Assist, they can get translated texts and through Notes Assist, they can request summaries of notes. Interpreter, the latest feature in Galaxy AI, allows users to automatically translate conversations.
The integration is published globally and is available in the following languages: Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. It is therefore not currently possible to invoke the Galaxy AI functions via Bixby via Dutch voice commands.
Samsung introduced the “Galaxy AI” features in early 2024. The company then launched new Galaxy S24 smartphones. The South Korean company may want to charge users for Galaxy AI features after 2025.
