The annual String Festival usually takes place in Weire and Middleburg at the end of May and offers full string music over the weekend. Amsterdam Symphonyetta presents itself in all its facets – from room music to the entire band and world-class solo songs – and offers a collection of well-known masterpieces and new and mini-played string sets. The online edition will air two concerts, and the ensemble will screen a new music film. The closing concert will be an audiovisual visual, backed by projects by light designer Collaborative Blave Ur.
Mahler
The festival opens with a one-room concert from the Jeeves concert hall dedicated to Gustav Mahler. In the afternoon, the first scene of the new two-part musical film from Piazolla’s Four Seasons from Buenos Aires’ will come out. The festival concludes with a concert in Grod Kerk Veer. Light predictions are best made for works that are rarely performed by Pussoni, Beethoven and Wagemans.
