From dance battles to community sing-alongs: Here’s what to do on a Flemish holiday in Brussels

The traditional celebration of the Flemish Parliament will also take place on July 11 at the Brussels City Hall at 11 a.m. Hundreds of guests, including politicians and dignitaries, will gather in the historic heart of the capital to listen to a speech by Parliament President Liesbeth Homans (N-VA). There is also plenty to do in the cultural sphere. Those who prefer to see a theatrical performance can head to the Brussels Parliament at 11 am for the show “Day Strange Man”. It delves into the world of Dutch music and puts famous songs in a surprising new light. The show lasts about 1.30 hours, after which you will have plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful weather.
