showbizXavier Tavern (40) just announced on Radio 1 that he is saying goodbye to his regular spot at “De Morgen”. It will focus on Lat at Hut Journal, which will start again from Wednesday, August 30. In his place, Lane de Witt, 41, will boost “Morning”.
After years of coverage in Wetstraat and around the European Union, Lin will guide Radio 1 listeners through the morning news once every two weeks, with Benedikte Coussement. The other week, Benedict and Ruth Goss are still a duo. Leen De Witte started her career in Bruzz, was a radio news anchor at MNM, tracking Flemish and European politics for VRT NWS.
The man I should try to fill his big shoes said, ‘Get ready to lead your life. “I’m working hard on it, to be there from September, and to get up early,” Lynn says.
“In the ideal world I would have continued to combine De Morgen and Laat, but the spread is becoming unacceptable after three years, especially now that Laat has acquired its own identity,” adds Xavier. “So yeah, I’m a little sad today, radio is my great love and always will be, so of course this is just a temporary goodbye. (laughs)”
