The Belgian women’s basketball starts the European Championship on June 17. Nigeria were defeated on stage in Spain yesterday, and defending champion Spain was a big test for the Belgian cats tonight.
They showed different faces in a match with flips. The cats started sharply with 10-13, but Spain cut a clear gap at the end of the first quarter.
However, that was neatly erased and the Belgians got a lead, which they let go again as the first half progressed: 34-27 halfway.

Excited Spanish fans watched the Cats lead 48-53 and 52-56, but Spain had the last word. They rose and overtook the Belgians and took victory from the free-throw line.
