time outIn Germany, they have a difficult task these days: Julian Nagelsmann, the Bayern Munich coach, who has found love with Lena Forzenberger. Nothing special in itself, were it not for the fact that Wurzenberger is one of the journalists who has covered Bayern for BILD. So the German tabloid announced that it would remove its journalist from the club immediately.
It was a short and striking message, which BILD itself came up with yesterday: Lena Forzenberger (30) will be removed from Bayern immediately because the magazine was able to discover that she had a relationship with coach Julian Nagelsmann (34). Until recently, he was married to Verena, they also have two children, but after 15 years – the couple also married in 2018 – this relationship broke up. This was also reported in BILD at the beginning of last month. And now it’s clear why: because he found love elsewhere.
Nagelsmann wanted to keep his new relationship under the radar for as long as possible. That sounded better for him, as Wurzenberger as a journalist has already given countless interviews with his players – most recently one with the best signing of Sadio Mane, who came from Liverpool for around €35m. But now that Wurzenberger’s employer has broken the news himself, that is no longer necessary. The two were spotted on Tuesday on a luxury yacht in Ibiza, where they enjoyed the sun and especially each other. They have also been aware of developments at Bayern for a while.
Thus Nagelsmann, who is already called one of the best coaches in the world despite his young age, will soon be able to start his second season with the German record champion without any worries. He led his team to the league title last season, but things went wrong (also) early in the Champions League. In the quarter-finals, the Germans were eliminated by Spain’s Villarreal.
