The BMW M4 CSL is keen to make its debut. Tomorrow BMW will officially pull the curtain on its denser M4, but thanks to a BMW forum member beamerpost The M4 CSL can already be fully admired.
Outside photo teaser And spy photos It was really good to see the exterior of the M4 CSL. So the end result is not surprising. The grille gets a different design and the front spoiler is more prominent, with two additional fins on either side that enhance airflow. Moreover, the side skirts that mount on the BMW M stick out a little further and the rear view is dominated by a diffuser that receives additional air guides compared to the regular M4. Most striking, of course, is the “duck tail” on the trunk lid, a clear reference to the E46 M3 CSL. In the dark, you can recognize the M4 CSL by its unique taillights.
Since it was widely known what the M4 CSL’s exterior would look like, this does not apply to the interior. However, the modifications even there are not so earth-shattering. The M4 CSL gets sport-look bucket seats with CSL emblems in the headrests. Furthermore, the center tunnel is made entirely of carbon fiber and the center armrest had to clear the field. To save on extra weight, the rear seat has been removed, and instead you’ll find a mesh in the M4 CSL through which you can haul your racing helmet (or your daily groceries). Furthermore, the interior is covered in CSL badges and the M4 CSL has an Alcantara steering wheel with a bright red 12-mark.
The power of the M4 CSL is not yet known, but in any case, additional reinforcement can be seen in the engine bay to enhance torsional rigidity. Tomorrow, BMW is expected to reveal all the technical details at its official unveiling.
