‘Bridgerton’ star confirms third season comeback: ‘Just getting started’ | television

televisionGood news for Bridgeton fans. Actors Jonathan Bailey (33), who plays Anthony Bridgerton, and Simon Ashley (27) who plays Kate Sharma, will return for the third season of the popular series. Ashley confirmed herself to the deadline: “We’ll be back! Kate and Anthony are just getting started!” she said.

“We have a great model for season three,” Ashley said in the interview. “In season two, there was a lot of pushing and shoving between Kate and Anthony, family complications, but they eventually found each other. I think it all just started,” says the actress. “I would like to see Kate let go a little bit more and swim more in this love circle . I think they both deserve it.”

Although viewers absolutely love the intense love triangle between Kate, Edwina, and Anthony; Ashley vows that her character will be portrayed aggressively as well: “Now she’s in charge of the house. I think she can do that,” she says enthusiastically. “I definitely want to keep Kate’s softness and vulnerability, and she can share that with Anthony. I’m glad she has a home and a family. I’m excited to see her grow. I think I’d like to see Kate more brave and less conceited.”

Although, Bridgerton wasn’t always all roses and sunshine for the actress. Earlier this month she spoke in an interview with Glamor UK about the dresses she had to wear and what that involved: “I was in so much pain with the corset. ‘I think I tore something at once,'” she said. If you wear a corset, you don’t eat.” Ashley explained that wearing a corset “changed” her body, and said, “I had a smaller waist for a while.” “But once you stop wearing it for a while, your body goes back to how it was.”
