Roman Yaremchuk’s loan to Valencia has ended and the Spanish club has not raised his purchase option. In principle, he should have returned to Jan Bredel, but there is a good chance that it would not happen again.
Club Brugge are looking for another striker and Yaremchuk has been made redundant in the Blue Black. The Ukrainian striker does not want to make any decisions before the European Championship and does not want to announce his decision until after the European Championship.
But in Türkiye, it will almost certainly be Trabzonspor. The club is said to have an agreement with Club Brugge over a transfer worth around £3 million for the 28-year-old striker.
This is of course a big loss when you know that they paid €16 million for him to Benfica in 2019. However, Yaremchuk was never able to live up to Jan Breidel’s high expectations.
After a successful spell at Dynamo Kyiv, Yaremchuk moved to KAA Gen in 2017. At Ghent he developed into one of the team’s most important players with his goals and presence in the penalty area.
At the international level, Yaremchuk has also made his mark. He has many international caps with the Ukrainian national team and is still a regular player there.
