Devils supporters deliver verdict after De Cuyper’s debut

On Wednesday evening, the Red Devils played their penultimate training match in the lead-up to the European Championship. Against Montenegro, national team coach Domenico Tedesco took the opportunity to try a few things. Maxime de Cuyper was allowed to make his debut.

The Club Brugge wing-back has been repeatedly overlooked by Tedesco during recent international matches, as he preferred other options. But due to his strong performances at Blauw-Zwart and the uncertainty surrounding Jan Vertonghen and Arthur Theate, De Cuyper was still included in selection for the European Championship.

In order to allow him to gain first experience before the start of the final round in Germany, Tedesco decided to allow De Cuyper to start immediately against Montenegro. So his first hat is a fact. The Brugge fan favorite certainly did well.
