It would definitely be nice to be able to put the icing on the cake, but a lot of the guys in the pack would think that way. It would be a meaningful victory, for sure.”
Then Evenepoel has to pass a number of cheerleaders. His teammate and world champion Julian Alaphilippe will be present, as will tour winner Tadej Pojjakar. But Evenpoel himself sees only one man behind his name with five stars. “Roglic is the best ever.”
