Club Brugge really wants to build a new stadium. CEO Bob Maddow told us what to expect.
Club Brugge obtained the environmental permit to build the new stadium. However, there is still a little fear because appeals are expected from local residents.
Club Brugge CEO Bob Maddow was a guest on the ‘MidMid’ podcast, where he told us what we can expect from the new stadium. “In my experience, it is a beautiful, functional stadium that is 100 percent integrated for football,” he said.
“You’re very close to the field with a very steep spy head,” he continues. It is somewhat reminiscent of Borussia Dortmund’s stadium. “That’s the way it actually is,” Maddow confirms.
He concludes: “The disadvantage also has advantages. It is not being exploited commercially. No other events will take place. So it is only for football, no concerts and the like. Absolutely not. It is a football stadium.”
Local residents or business groups can appeal the environmental permit until June 20. Anyway, we have to wait and see…
