LIVE Dauphiné: The last ascent to La Plagne promises a great sight | Criterium du Dauphin 2021

The first attack comes from Belgium. Silvain Moniquet (Lotto-Soudal) is clearly looking forward to it, but he’s not going to get away with it for now. It is now back in the package.

Period mountain running brings the peloton to the popular winter sports town of Albertville.

From there the riders begin their journey through the Alps. They get a warm-up with the Côte de Venthon (2.5 thousand km at 4.8%). Immediately thereafter, the long climb to Col du Pré begins with an average gradient of 7.7%.

Passengers can catch their breath from above, but then go straight back to Cormet de Roselend (5.7 km by 6.5%).

After the summit, there is a 30km long descent before the final kicks off on the final climb towards La Plagne. This climb is good for 17.1 km at 7.5%.
