I find this strange.
The percentage depends on the services you “consume within the application”. So, for example, diamonds or an additional level/character in a game, or for using the full functionality of an application.
To me, these examples are clear.
Even Spotify/Netflix/etc. are services that you can specifically use within the app, not to mention the fact that you can “also” use those services outside the app, because that makes it a bit more gray.
When purchasing goods (bol.com, Amazon, Thuisbezorgd, etc.) we see that the related services are not consumed within the app. The app is just a platform through which an external service is implemented.
There is (for example) a strict separation between app services within bol.com and Amazon. For example, you cannot purchase “bol.com Select” or “Amazon Prime” services within bol.com and Amazon. You can only do this via the website (I thought – if I’m wrong about this, I’d like to be corrected.)
In the case of Patreon, it’s specifically about “creator” sponsorship. In my view, sponsorship itself has nothing to do with the app itself.
