Princess Charlene of Monaco celebrated her return to the Principality with a new official photo session.
In the first family photo, Charlene can be seen alongside her husband and their children, twins Jack and Gabriella (7 years old) with an Easter bunny. A second picture shows the whole family during the mass. “Prince Albert and Princess Charlene wish you a wonderful Easter,” read an accompanying short message on social media.
Long absence
Princess Charlene, 44, has barely stayed in Monaco in recent months and years. According to the popular press, she first fled to her native South Africa due to marital problems and a possible divorce from Prince Albert (64), although this stay was the result of a wrong medical procedure and subsequent injury, according to the Monaco Palace. Five months ago, Charlene returned briefly to Monaco, but was soon sent back to a private clinic in Switzerland due to what her husband described as “emotional and physical exhaustion”.
In mid-March, the princess finally returned to the principality, although sporadically participating in official activities. According to a press release, Charlene had to “stabilize again before gradually resuming her official activities”. So the official photo session now follows as the last step in getting back into the public eye.
